BoatEdReviews.com is an independent comparison and review site for online boating safety courses available to U.S. boaters. Our goal is to help prospective students choose a course that's state-approved (NASBLA), fairly priced, and doesn't bury surprises in the fine print.

How we research

For each provider we cover, we read the most recent customer reviews from public sources:

• Better Business Bureau complaint records
• Trustpilot (sorting by lowest rating to surface real problems, not just promoters)
• Google Reviews for each provider's business profile
• Reddit discussions in boating forums
• The provider's own terms of service and refund policy

What we rank on

1. Student rating across independent review platforms
2. Pricing transparency (no hidden recurring charges or upsells)
3. State acceptance (how many U.S. states recognize the course as fulfilling NASBLA)
4. Documented customer complaints, especially billing-related
